History

Fayette County Farm Bureau® Foundation was started in 1993 by the Fayette County Farm Bureau® to be able to provide educational opportunities that the Farm Bureau® could not provide. The purposes of the Fayette County Farm Bureau® Foundation are to provide educational opportunity for persons studying agricultural and related fields and to encourage, promote, and fund the design, development, and distribution of educational and instructional materials and programs to provide improved instruction about agriculture and it’s related fields.

The Fayette County Farm Bureau® Foundation has been determined to be a non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3).

2024 Scholarship Recipients

  • Alexi Hartlieb

    Alexi is a 2024 graduate of Vandalia High School and plans to attend Lakeland Community College this fall with hopes of studying Ag Business.

  • Paige McKittrick

    Paige is a 2022 graduate of Cowden-Herrick High School. Paige plans to transfer to Murray State University this fall and study crop production in hopes of becoming an Agronomist.

  • Mitchell Miller

    Mitchell will graduate from Ramsey High School this spring and go on to Lakeland Community College and study animal science an ag business to become an Animal Nutritionist.

  • Dennis Wollin

    Dennis is going into his third year in college and is attending SIU-Carbondale. He studying Crop, Soil, and Environmental Management is hopes of coming back to the family farm.
